2a.
Valves triangular in shape, jugal area raised and sharply separated from lateropleural areas, tegmentum covered with densely arranged, small and round granules.
2b.
Valves ellipsoidal in shape, jugal area hardly separated from lateropleural areas, tegmentum covered with oval to elongated oval, decidedly separated, granules. Go to section 3.1

 

In lateral areas of intermediate valves, tegmentum appears sandy, or granulose under a hand-lens. Go to section 3.2
